Why I invaded football pitch and slapped Mikel’s brother- Ifeanyi Ubah

The Chairman of FCIU, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, has explained why he invaded the football pitch last week during the football match between Ifeanyi Ubah Football Club and Heartland Football Club.
Ubah was suspended for invading the pitch and attacking the goalkeeper of Heartland FC, Ebere Obi, who is the senior brother to Chelsea Star, Mikel Obi. Ubah, who has been suspended for 10 games by football authorities, said he invaded the pitch in order to protect the referee.
In a Facebook post which has since been deleted, Ubah said,  “I want to use this medium to clarify the event that took place during the match between FCIU and Heartland FC. Rumours are already making rounds that I, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah punched the referee. Well, let me state categorically that it is a lie. I did not punch the referee but only intervened to resolve the tension between the referee and Ebele Obi. The Heartland FC player pushed the referee after he was given a red card and I waded in to protect the referee.”
