Breaking: Nigeria drops to 67th on FIFA rankings

Nigeria has dropped to the 67th position on the latest World FIFA rankings after failing to qualify for the AFCON. This is Nigeria's worst ranking since joining professional football. Nigeria dropped by five points after an abysmal performance in the last three months to hold the 11th position among African countries.

Algeria at number 33, is the highest ranking African country while Argentina has taken the number one spot after winning all its matches at the World Cup Qualifier. Belgium, Chile, Colombia and Germany all feature in the top five position. Italy, Mexico and the Netherlands all fail to make the top 10.
