10 things you didn’t know about Queen of England as she turns 90 today

·         She has four children, three of which are divorced
·         Apart from being the Head of the Common Wealth, she is also the Head of the Church of England
·         She does not own an international passport or a driver’s licence because both documents are issued in her name
·         As a princess in 1945, Princess Elizabeth joined the army and worked as a mechanic.
·         Her husband, Prince Phillip, is her third cousin.
·         Philip was born into the Greek and Danish royal families. He was born in Greece but his family was exiled from the country when he was still an infant which means that her children are originally from Greece. He however renounced his Greek heritage before marrying Elizabeth
·         She was one of the first human beings to send an email. She sent her first electronic correspondence from an army base in 1976.
·         Apart from being the longest reigning monarch in British history and oldest female monarch in the world, her marriage to Phillip for 69 years is the longest in history
·         She was delivered by Caesarean section at her maternal grandfather's London house

·         She is the godmother to Princess Diana’s younger brother, Charles Spencer
