A Lagos Police Sergeant, Jude Nwandudu, has died moments after sleeping with the wife of another policeman. The deceased was said to have had sex with the woman at a hospital in the Iju area of Lagos State during the weekend after which he went to take his bath. He subsequently fell, hit his head and fell into a coma.
Nwandudu, who was a father of four, was said to have started an illicit relationship with his colleague’s wife at the police barracks where they all lived. The deceased, who was attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Ikeja, was said to have taken his lover to a hotel on Easter Sunday when the unfortunate incident happened.
He was rushed to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital but died a few days later.
Meanwhile, hell was said to have been let loose as the deceased’s widow, also a Police Sergeant, insisted that her late husband’s lover be held responsible for his death. A neighbour, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said: “Nwandudu was recently transferred from Kogi State Police Command to SARS.
“Now that he is dead, some people are attributing it to magun (charm). The Corporal has since chased his wife away.” Contacted, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Dolapo Badmus, a Superintendent, promised to get back to this reporter. But at press time, she was yet to get in touch.”
