Just three weeks ago, she was making less than N1,000 a day hawking bread on the streets of Lagos. Indeed, dreams do come true

Judge swears in twin sister as judge

History has been made again. A United States county judge, Shera Grant, has sworn in her identical twin, Shanta Owens, as a judge in Jefferson County, Birmingham. Incidentally, the two sisters also have daughters who are age mates.

In 2014, something similar happened in Lagos, Nigeria, when Chief Judge, Justice Ayotunde Phillips, handed over to her sister, Justice Olajumoke Atilade, who is still the Chief Judge of Lagos today.

MTN summoned for suspending senator's line

When you're big. you're big. Anyway, MTN recently suspended the telephone line of the Senator representing Lagos-West, Senator Solomon Adeola (Yayi). Unlike most of us that have to go and queue at MTN centres for hours to register, Senator Adeola, who is the Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Communication, got preferential treatment.
MTN was summoned to his office and they sent a delegation to his office and re-registered him. Boss! Anyway, let me go and join my own queue under the sun and wait for my own turn like a normal citizen.

If you see anything other than sweet potato, then you need Jesus. LOL

Wanted militant, Tompolo, buys newspaper advert congratulating Governor Wike for his Supreme Court victory

Only in Nigeria. Chai! Anyway, Niger Delta Militant, Government Ekpemupolo, aka Tompolo, bought a full page advert on page 3 of Vanguard recently to congratulate Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, for his victory at the Supreme Court.
Tompolo, who has refused to obey a court summon for over a month, even urged the APC candidate, Dakuku Peterside, to accept the judgement of the Supreme Court. LOL
The advert reads, “I, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), the Ebicouwei of Ijaw nation on behalf of my family, friends and associate, rejoice with you on the confirmation of your resounding victory as the Governor of Rivers State by the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
“Your Excellency sir, your triumph is the doing of the lord. Therefore, it is an opportunity for you to bring all the people of Rivers State together for the unity, peace and rapid development of the state. It is true that so much injustice has taken place in the last six months of litigation but you must forgive, forget and move Rivers State forward as Jehovah, the Almighty God, is your strength.

I want to call on the opposition in Rivers State to put the past behind for the sake of the people of Rivers State who are in dire need of peace and prosperity. His Excellency sir, please Rule Rivers State with the fear of God. May the good lord continue to see you through your endeavours."

Hilarious: Nigerian gives tips on how to prevent Lassa fever

Got this from Facebook user, Ezeogu Chijindu Chinedu
I have discovered a way to drink Garri this Lassa season.
1. Put the garri in a dry frying pan/pot.
2. Place it on the fire and allow it to fry for 10mins so that the heat will kill the Lassa virus.
3. Pour the garri out on a wide tray & allow it to get cold. Make sure ur eyes are on the garri to avoid the virus coming back cos if it does hmmmm, e go worse pass the 1st time oh.
4. Put the garri on a plate and add the necessary (sugar, salt, glucose, powder, honey, milk, Milo, groundnut, aki, water etc). This is strictly based on your choice but if u want to add all, no problem.
Then ur delicious and tasty drinking garri is ready for consumption...
Thank me later...

Ladies, this is why you must rock this

Babes, in this Valentine season, you must take the advice of Senator Ben Bruce and be patriotic by using Nigerian products. You cannot be wearing imported Victoria Secret panties at the expense of our naira. Let us encourage the Nigerian economy by wearing made in Nigeria panties. I am Eni and I am just trying to make common sense. LOL.

Okupe says Donald Trump deserves to be next American President

So, former spokesperson for ex-President Goodluck Jonathan believes controversial Republican candidate, Donald Trump, should be the next President of the United States. This is despite Trump's diatribe in which he said, "African countries ought to be recolonized again for another 100 years because they know nothing about leadership and self governance”. Issorai!
